When Chelsiah was looking to make a career pivot from higher education to something which further utilized her academic writing and marketing skills, she jumped at the chance to work at BKF, and feels grateful that her position provides her with the opportunity to be creative, as well as to continue learning and growing. She is a highly motivated and results-driven grant analyst who assists the BKF grants team with grant prospecting and coordinating application packages, including the development of supporting exhibits. Chelsiah’s exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and her ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders has been key to her success. In addition to her grants work, Chelsiah has assisted the marketing team in developing countless winning proposals for infrastructure improvement projects throughout California. 

“My BKF team truly understands what it means to be a team, in that we support and encourage each other in all that we do, and that means everything to me,” she said.

Taking advantage of the true work-life balance which working at BKF offers, Chelsiah enjoys spending time with her family, and in particular, exploring all the activities which the Central Coast has to offer, especially the beach. One of their favorite outings is to drive down the pier in Avila to grab a bite to eat (and yes, you can actually drive down the pier!).
