Trinity Place was a new 1,900‑unit, multi‑phase residential development located less than one mile from San Francisco’s Civic Center. BKF was part of the team that provided surveying services for Phases 3 and 4 of the project. Phase 3 consisted of a 19‑story building along Eighth and Mission Streets with 541 apartments, while Phase 4 included a 17‑story building with 502 apartments and 45,000 square feet of retail space. Because of the project’s proximity to the Civic Center BART station, construction required proactive monitoring of sensitive structural components.
BKF’s services included developing a high‑accuracy survey control network, performing construction staking, providing 3D laser scanning and BIM modeling, and conducting structural monitoring with automated instrumentation.
