BKF has been involved in the base closure and re-use of Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island for the past 15+ years assisting the Development Team and City with coordination, planning and design of project infrastructure. Our efforts have included the review of the existing infrastructure systems, site planning assistance, conceptual utility designs, and preliminary construction cost estimates for the redevelopment project. We have worked closely with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and Department of Public Works to develop project standards and designs for street layout, storm drain, potable water, recycled water, sanitary sewer, street and storm water quality designs. BKF prepared and permitted construction document for the first phase of development (approximately 35-acres) that is currently under construction.
