The new Spartan Recreation and Aquatics Center at San Jose State University will serve as a central hub and student destination on this urban campus, comprising a 120,000 sq. ft. gymnasium along with a 40,000 sq. ft. outdoor aquatics deck supporting two 50-meter pools. Civil design elements included utility coordination, storm water treatment, QSD (Qualified SWPPP Developer) services, and the design of a new fire/access road.
