CalPoly Humboldt Engineering and Technology Building

CalPoly Humboldt selected BKF Engineers as part of a team to design a building complex that will provide approximately 90,000 GSF of new space and includes instructional and research facilities, student support services, lecture halls, and meeting rooms. The building will be three stories in height and consist of a timber-framed structure with reinforced concrete shear walls.

The project will include:

  • Student housing area of 250 beds
  • 44 offices for faculty and staff
  • Up to 15 teaching laboratories
  • A machine shop
  • A wood shop
  • Collaboration space for students and faculty

This facility also includes a demolition plan that will prepare the site for future improvements and an additional 1.1 acres to address the campus’s future needs.
