Fair Haven Commons is the result of a partnership between the City of Fairfield, Solano County, and MidPen Housing. This once-vacant and underutilized site is now serving as family housing for those in need; especially those low income or at risk of homelessness. The development is a responsive solution to addressing housing instability by supporting the Regional Action Plan and the City’s homeless mitigation strategy goals.
The new housing community provides 72 affordable rental units with 44 units set-aside for those at-risk tenants. The units are a mix of studio, one, two, and three-bedrooms, designed for both families and individuals. Other amenities on the site include a community building with a kitchen and multi-purpose space, an activities room, laundry facilities, and outdoor recreation areas equipped with picnic tables and barbecue. Residents will also have access to services including workshops, case management, and connection to community resources.
BKF provided the civil engineering design and land surveying services associated with the project. Site features include:
3.51-acre site
72 affordable units
83 parking stalls
