MOST INFLUENTIAL WOMAN!
BKF is ecstatic to share that the San Francisco Business Times has named Natalina Bernardi one of the Bay Area’s most influential women in Bay Area business! Please join us in congratulating Natalina on this important event.
Natalina started her career at BKF as a civil engineer after graduating from UC Berkeley with a BS in Civil Engineering. Her parents, who immigrated to the United States from Italy when she was three years old, instilled in her a tireless work ethic which she still considers part of her life fabric today. She ascended to Principal and Vice President of the company over the last 30 years, and continues to be one of the most influential women leaders in BKF, as well as in the industry.
Natalina was integral to the inception of the Women Engineers Leadership program at BKF, which later transformed into the firm’s mentoring program, which offers employees the opportunity to advance career skills and gain advice from industry leaders for professional and personal development through mentoring.
Many public sector projects led by Natalina and her team gained not only State-wide recognition by incorporating cutting edge design and establishing new standards, but at the same time, helped smaller cities and communities completely renovate their downtown areas with complete street concepts using federal grants and funding.

“When I was a young project manager, BKF wanted to capture a larger sector of the transportation market in the Bay Area. I have contributed to making that a reality. My greatest accomplishment is the talented group of professionals who I work with, have respect for and am confident will further grow the business to new heights.”
