Born and raised in China, Jeff Wang immigrated to the South Bay in 1986. After completing a master’s program in civil engineering at San Jose State University, he was anxious to “experience the real world”, and was hired as an E1 in BKF’s San Jose office in 1990. “The firm has grown up in all the years I have been here,” he said. “All the changes have been positive.”

While everyone at BKF has both weaknesses and strengths, Jeff says that the leadership here does everything it can to help grow your strengths. “The company culture fosters that type of support and makes a great effort to help emphasize what you are good at.”

Throughout his career, he has completed transportation projects as far northern in California as Santa Rosa, and as far southern as Newport Beach. A few of his favorites include the Highway 101/Marsh Road Interchange and Sand Hill Road project at Stanford on which he worked early in his career, and the signature Gerald Desmond Bridge design-build project in Long Beach, of which the work is ongoing.

Aside from his work at BKF, Jeff is a huge Warriors fan and most often can be found cheering on his team as well as his favorite player, Stephen Curry.
