Growing up, Jacob enjoyed doing home improvement projects around his parents’ house, and decided to major in civil engineering in college because of its “hands-on” nature. After finishing graduate school in 1996, he joined BKF and is now a Principal. Over the length of his career, Jacob has worked on a variety of projects including residential development, corporate campuses, universities, civic facilities, and affordable housing.

He feels very fortunate to be involved with many high-profile Bay Area projects such as the Warriors’ Arena in San Francisco, the Oak Knoll mixed-use development in Oakland, and Stanford University. He also enjoys working on projects that are used by everyday people, such as traffic roundabouts and multi-use trails. Clients appreciate Jacob for his proactive approach and easy-going nature.
