When we received the call to help design a new mixed-use project in San Jose, it sounded like the typical land development project we get involved with - a developer-client working with an architect. We were asked to help coordinate site development permits with the City of San Jose and prepare construction documents. After designing 575,000 s.f. of retail space, 1200 residential units, five parking garages incorporating almost 4000 parking spaces, two hotels and a cinema complex, we are still excited about the project.
