David LaVelle, PE – President/CEO

David LaVelle has been the president and CEO of BKF Engineers since 1996. Dave joined BKF in 1988 and has 25 years of experience in civil engineering overall. Dave’s favorite parts of the business are: coordinating large projects, mentoring project managers, and working with interesting clients.

BKF's markets are a mix of land development projects and public infrastructure. Dave has been involved in several large development projects for BKF including Santana Row in San Jose, and Bay Meadows in San Mateo. He was project manager for public works infrastructure such as Highway 85 in San Jose, Jefferson Avenue Grade Separation on the J.P.B.P.C.and Marsh Road interchange in Menlo Park.

He holds a B.S.C.E. from California State University, Fresno.
